We are very happy to be able to open our home, a home that we have been rehabilitating for 5 years, with great love, dedication and enthusiasm. We have respected every detail of its original architecture in order to pay homage to the origins of this place. We fell in love with Can Cabruja from the first moment. We have put a lot of thought and sweat into redesigning and rebuilding, so that you feel invited to contemplate, rest, and connect with nature. Our home is full of the spirit of the Gavarras and and the strength of the immense forest of the highest Gavarrenco massif that surrounds it. It has views of the sea and every detail of a comfortable, pleasant space, filled with harmony and special hideaways.
We have restored the original stone walls and created spaces to accommodate 16 people. The house has 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms – 6 private in each room and 1 shared. It is intended to be rented for entire groups who wish to enjoy weekends, holidays or special celebrations.
The space is a magical setting for retreats, workshops, or personal growth activities. Can Cabruja symbolizes the love of nature and ecology as well as the silence and the heartbeat of our beloved land of Empordà.

The living room has a huge wood- burning fireplace that is fed by taking advantage of the forest underbrush around the house.

Kitchen equipped with BPA-free utensils and small, efficient appliances to prepare healthy and toxic-free dishes.
6 rooms with complete private bathrooms and 2 with shared bathrooms (with bathtub).
All rooms include a spacious, private bathroom with shower and views of Las Gavarras, except two of the rooms which have a shared bathroom with a bathtub.
Bike-friendly
We have bicycle storage, foot pumps for loan, and Schrader valves.
Responsable tourism
We promote responsible tourism, recycling, zero waste, and a conscious connection with nature and the environment.
Renewable energy
We use solar panels and firewood to heat the house.
Parking
The house has a large parking lot for about 25 cars, very close to the entrance door.
Contemplating the beauty of nature is a balm for the heart and the first and simplest step to purify the mind and become more aware.
Rooms
8 double rooms with views of tranquility
The rooms in Can Cabruja have been designed and decorated in a minimalist way, with natural elements and colors that have an aesthetic beauty, inviting silence, harmony, and relaxation.
All of the rooms have a bathroom with spectacular views of the surrounding hills. They have a spacious shower, toilet, bidet, and wooden furniture.
Each room has a copy of a 17th century Dutch painting.
It is impossible not to feel relaxed here.
Sustainability
The house has been refurbished to respect the structure and sustainable materials of the environment with which the farmhouse was built.
We use photovoltaic solar panels and wood from our forests to heat the house.
We encourage responsible tourism and a conscious connection to nature and the environment. We practice zero waste and encourage our guests to do the same.
We use soaps and environmentally friendly hygiene products.
